No one said it was a desperate attempt at anything. It's just not funny. As soon as I saw it, it was like what Tom1071 said, Some inside jokes should just be kept between the people that find them funny.

My friends and I like to imitate Lina Lamont from Singin' in the Rain and burst out randomly saying "But ya AAAAHHHH, Blanche! Ya AAAAHHH in that chair!" But we're not going to post them on youtube.
