So ... I'm seeing Priscilla tonight (yippee) but I have to be at Heathrow at 22:45 to pick up my luggage (not yippee). I'm planning on getting the Heathrow Express at 22:25, which means leaving the Palace early
If I left the show at 9:50, what would I miss? Only the megamix? I've never looked at my watch during the show so I have no idea.
Thats 20 minutes before the show finishes I believe, (although I may be slightly wrong), So I think that would mean leaving at the start of the kylie medley, or there about!
This is probably a bit late for you now, but I would be tempted to get the Pic line from Leicester Square station virtually opposite, hell though what a crap time to pick your belongings up, I hate leaving the theatre early, even if the show is rubbish.
boyfromoz2 would probably have missed more than the Kylie medley tonight. The curtain had to be brought down for several minutes early in Act 2 when a female audience member became disruptive.
I ended up leaving at intermission, so that I could get my luggage without being in a massive rush.
All through the first act, there was a LOT of rowdy behaviour. One intoxicated middle-aged female in the stalls (house right, probably about row H to M) insisted on wolf-whistling at Oliver Thornton whenever he did anything (entered, spoke, twirled, etc.) Was she the cause of the hold-up?
I was row E of the circle, and was disgusted at the amount of singing along, quoting full stretches of dialogue, mobile phones going off, etc. One of the worst audiences I've ever been in - and it seems it only got worse ... I'm kinda lucky I left :)
Yes, that was her. She ended up with a full throated tirade to the entire house with language that would curl your hair while she was being removed from the auditorium. Astonishingly, other people were still calling out to the actors right up to the last scene. And then there are the people who just scream mindlessly at the top of their lungs for no reason.
Sounds like I had a bit of a lucky escape then - I saw the matinee on Saturday and was considering making it a double by getting a cheap seat for the evening as well (but saw La Cage again instead-still fab). I've seen this sort of drunken 'fangurl' behaviour from grown women at Jersey Boys but never so far at Priscilla. What a shame for the lovely and talented Craig Ryder as this was his last show as Tick/Mitzi till October (and it's obviously very unfair on Oliver Thornton and the rest of the cast too).
