Under the Sea

Posted: 6/16/06 at 4:27pmim putting my hopes up for kerry for the role of ariel, jenna leigh or michelle federer would make a great vanessa and carole shelley could pull it off as ursula. apparantly ursula is supposed to be a puppet and the voice of the ursula puppet will be played by pat carroll in case you didn't know

Posted: 6/16/06 at 4:28pmwell they're having a costume / movement lab in london this week so we'll have to wait and see what they have come up with for the show. i think that this show will be a hit on broadway next year.

re: Under the Sea#33
Posted: 6/17/06 at 5:21pmOo, I definitely agree with Cheyenne Jackson as Eric, and Sara Ramrirez as Ursula.
re: Under the Sea#34
Posted: 6/18/06 at 1:11pmthat would be fab casting!!!!!! especially cheyenne as prince eric.
re: Under the Sea#35
Posted: 6/19/06 at 1:58pmWhat about Eden Espinosa as Aerial? I mean she played the part at Dinseyland. But I still say Carole Shelley as Ursala and Idina Menzel as Vanessa.

Menken must be in love with Ursula because he gave her two new songs and a reprise. Not to mention she has the longest songs in the show.

Posted: 6/19/06 at 2:38pmi think carol shelley would make a great ursula and idina menzel as a great vanessa. that would be ideal casting.

Why would someone else necessarily need to play Vanessa? If you cast a knockout like Sara as Ursula (I'm ALL for that btw!), then you just need to visually distinguish her Ursula form apart from her Vanessa form. Seeing as Ursula is a grey-skinned white-haired octopus lady and most actresses aren't, surely it would be easy enough to just whip her out of costume and make-up (um... depending on how they choose to costume and make her up, that is) and go "voila! Vanessa!". Perhaps. If they wanted to do it that way, I'm sure they'd work out how to do it anyway. ^_^

Ursula is purple, though.
ETA: That is probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever written.

The thing that annoys me is all these nobody's claiming to have copies of the demo's.
Unless they have been distributed to the public, people should NOT have them. Period
