The understudies for Sutton Foster are Andrea Chamberlain (a swing) and Angela Pupello (an ensemble member). As for if they went on yet, I don't think they have. (Kinya hora.)*

Posted: 6/13/06 at 10:40amFrankly, even though Sutton was nominated, it isn't that big deal of a role that someone else couldn't just as easily do it once she masters the handstands and splits.

Posted: 9/21/06 at 8:59amCaught Angela as Janet yesterday and she was fantastic. Very different body type from Sutton, but she handled everything with aplomb. A solid striking performance.

Posted: 9/21/06 at 1:33pmI saw Angela Pupello yesterday (Wed. matinee). She totally nailed it. I saw Sutton do the role a few weeks ago. Angela added an element of comedy to the part that was really refreshing. They are very different, so it's almost apples and oranges. But I have to say that Angela added more to the show, whereas Sutton was just Sutton.
