Has anyone ever seen a workshop/production/whatever of CURTAINS or SKIN OF OUR TEETH?

I saw the world premiere of OVER AND OVER (The Skin of our Teeth) at Arlington, Virginia's Signature Theatre. It starred Sheri Rene Scott (who joined the show during previews replacing Bebe Neuwirth who swiftly left the show due to "artistic differences") as Sabina, David Garrison as Mr. Antrobus, Linda Emond as Mrs. Antrobus, Mario Cantone and Dorothy Loudon in various roles. The show had it's moments. Several of the songs seemed wedged in without much purpose. The book needs considerable work. Loudon's talents were wasted. Sheri Rene Scott was HILARIOUS.

Playbill recently had a story about an upcoming workshop of Curtains, to be performed in July.

A friend of mine was recently offerred a role in an upcoming workshop of Skin of Our Teeth to be performed in June.

Yes, the reason I was asking is because of the recent article on CURTAINS, and then I had heard something about the SKIN OF OUR TEETH workshop. I'm a huge Kander and Ebb fan, so was curious about both.

Is your friend doing the workshop? That is very exciting!

Yes, my friend is doing it, and he is very excited. I hope its open to the public, as I've heard some assorted songs from the show, and I really want to see it.

SKIN OF OUR TEETH is my FAVOURITE play of all time.

I ADORE it.

I love Kander and Ebb, and would love to see how it musicalised...

You can hear the title number on Brent Barrett's cd the Kander & Ebb Album. Apparently the number that Sherie Rene Scott performs on her album is no longer in the show, as I have not seen it listed in any of the recent song lists. There is a song list at the website I listed below.

And in June, Gillett will be doing another workshop of the Kander and Ebb musical The Skin of Our Teeth at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton. "It's my fourth time playing one of the wooly mammoths," he laughs. "It's a great show, and I really hope for John's sake that it goes somewhere this time."
