Upcoming Cast Recordings!

I can't wait to listen to the new cast recordings of DRS, Bee, Little Women, and Spamalot....but I was wondering, would it be worth it to also get Mary Poppins?

The Mary Poppins cast recording is incredible. I bought it simply because I love the songs but I must say, this show has some of the most creative orchestrations I have ever heard. No violins or violas, which surprised me. It sounds wonderful. They totally reinvented the movie score's sound. This show had the potential to sound like many other shows and it doesn't. Buy the CD. You won't regret it.

I just went to the Spamalot website and saw that you can preview the CD!!! I saw it back in February and have forgotten how freakin funny these songs are! If you haven't yet, check out the tunes at www.montypythonsspamalot.com. I can't wait for May 3!

I loooove those Spamalot clips! My favorites are really anything with Christian or Sara. I think they ended up with the best stuff in the show.

I thought DRS was coming out on May 10th---but today on Broadway's Best *sirius sat radio* Christine Pedi said it was out on April 27th and they are having the guy who wrote the music *sorry forgot his name* on next week! so...it might be then..or she was wrong

Took a listen to the clips from Spamalot - I had forgotten how catchy some of that music was. Find Your Grail had a nice melody to it. I do think Sara and Christian ended up with the best song material - no matter what people think about Sara, I really thought she was great. The show was so silly but I'm very much looking forward to the recording.
