Upcoming NYC trip show advice

Planning my upcoming trip to NYC and wanted help in choosing two shows from the following list: A Bronx Tale, Holiday Inn, School of Rock and Waitress. Thanks in advance for the help!!

Also any inexpensive hotel recommendations in NJ or NY with easy public transportation into the city?

Having seen all but A Bronx Tale (which I hope to soon) I would say you can easily eliminate Holiday Inn...you won't be missing too much. Waitress was good, but not exceptional. School of Rock is a good time!

It really boils down to your taste as well and what youre most interested in in general.

Definitely cross Holiday Inn off your list. School of Rock and Waitress are both fun and cute shows.

I'm obsessed with Waitress, absolutely loved it and it's already on my list to go a second time for my NY trip next June for a repeat visit (I'll have to somehow squeeze it in with the gazillion new shows)

I liked School of Rock but didn't love it.

I haven't seen the other and don't know much about them.
