Anyone else have a take on this? I am not saying it's not. I'm just curious. I haven't had the best theatre experiences there. I'd love for it to be great.
I'll be honest, it's been quite some time since I have seen anything at Capital. There's no need to say what, out of respect to actors and technicians who may have been involved and shouldn't have to "defend" themselves a few years later. I know Capital's talent pool has grown a lot since then, but I was turned off after a couple shows I saw that were pretty awful. I even saw a principle actor mouthing the lines of other actors as he was on stage in scenework with them. In the same show the space limitations allowed me to see the backstage workings of one of the "dramatic" set elements-- and I was in the middle of the house. With their youth focus, I have seen teens playing roles they were, perhaps, not ready for.
As I said in my first message, I really hope that this is a great show. I have heard good things about other shows there recently. I may try to go catch it this weekend, in fact. I just was hoping to get more feedback on it than, "it's good." I am glad to step out on a limb to support local theatres and artists, in any case.
any reviews from the show out??? or personal reviews?
