The bottom line is that vaccination penetration is starting to reach meaningful levels (from a marketing standpoint, not epidemiologically) and that is a cause for optimism. By next week, 30% of Manhattanites will have had at least one shot. A zip code analysis of where ticket purchases for non-tourist shows originate (not just in NYC) reveals an even higher number. By some point in the summer, most theatre-goers will be vaccinated and will have had time to let that sink into their mindset before the first trickle of shows commence (again).
