Hello. I found this article link on that highly intellectual gossip blog site: www.perezhilton.com. I'm not quite sure what to make of this article. You decide. from Roman in Austin, Texas... where it's a gorgeous and sunny 65 degrees (5:09 p.m. CST)

Gay Auds Trading Broadway?

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

It's an interesting article, but I do take issue with the statement about gay audiences not wanting to see their lives reflected onstage in regards to this play. The gay characters are a closeted actor, a mean-spirited (thought very funny) lesbian agent and a hustler whose sexuality is questionable. This doesn't reflect my life or anyone else that I know.

Also, the majority of the reviews I read were mixed to negative and the word of mouth wasn't good (except for the actress who played the agent). If you're going to pay Broadway ticket prices you want to be a little more sure.

Yes, we do need a third vampire musical.--Little Sally, Gypsy of the Year 2005.
