I am pleased to include some quotes from Variety's Review that readers may find interesting:

"Producer Scott Siegel has once again harnessed some bright Broadway talent for the fourth and final 'Broadway by the Year' concert of the season. Among the highlights were Noah Racey's buoyant confessional 'She Loves Me,' George Dvorsky's expectant 'Tonight at Eight' and Liz Callaway's deliciously creamy 'Vanilla Ice Cream.' All three are from the Sheldon Harnick-Jerry Bock tuner that James Brennan will stage next fall at the Paper Mill. Casting directors take note."

........

"Siegel always adds a few numbers sans the assistance of electrical enhancement, and this time around director Marc Kudisch provided a lusty [lusty, yes, lusty was the word I was searching for when describing Kudisch's performance!] account of 'Rain Song' while Murney rendered an exquisitely plaintive 'Is It Really Me?' Both tunes are from '110 in the Shade.' Siegel pointed out that Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt penned 117 tunes in the development of their musicalization of 'The Rainmaker.'"

...........

"Sans sets and sequins, sans audio gimmickry and canned instrumentation, Siegel has fashioned an appealing scrapbook of theatrical treasures and musical memories. The series kicks off next year highlighting the musicals of 1929 followed by 1945, 1955 and 1962. A Siegel extra-added attraction will be 'Broadway Unplugged' on Sept. 27, an all-unmiked performance that will feature Christine Andreas, Karen Ziemba, Howard McGillan, Emily Skinner and others."

And here's a snippet of a review from Theater Scene.net's Review of "The Broadway Musicals of 1963:

"Scott Siegel's 'Broadway by the Year' concert series is a beautiful gift to the New York theater scene. In addition to the City Center Encores! it provides one of the best opportunities in New York to hear glorious show tunes of Broadway's past performed by some of today's most respected Broadway players."

Yes, BBTY is a beautiful gift!
