Hey yall. I got this in an email from Wicked Ozmopolitan News. Not all of it is posted on their site yet, so heres some more info!


A TEARFUL GOODBYE. It was quite an emotional day at the Gershwin Theatre on Sunday, July 18 as Kristin Chenoweth and Norbert Leo Butz played their final performances to a highly enthusiastic and very supportive sell-out crowd. Several times throughout the show Kristin, Norbert & Idina Menzel received standing ovations with explosions of screams, cheers and applause. All of us in the Land of Oz shall miss them terribly - for we have all been changed for good.

A WICKEDLY WIZARD
Two-time Tony Award winner GEORGE HEARN (La Cage aux Folles, Sweeney Todd, Sunset Boulevard) has joined the cast of WICKED assuming the role of THE WIZARD beginning July 20. Mr. Hearn will step into the shoe's of WICKED's original Wizard, Joel Grey, who is on an extended leave of absence. As previously announced, joining Mr. Hearn on July 20 will be Jennifer Laura Thompson as Glinda and Joey McIntyre as Fiyero.

WICKED IN BRYANT PARK
Thursday, July 29 at 12:30 p.m. company members of WICKED will perform songs from the show as part of the free afternoon concert series - Broadway in Bryant Park. With musicians from WICKED's orchestra, Eden Espinosa will perform, "The Wizard & I", Derrick Williams & Ms. Espinosa will sing the duet "As Long As You're Mine" and Melissa Fahn & Ms. Espinosa will sing "For Good".

WICKED WILL SOON BE ON ITS WAY
Can't make it to New York to see the soaring hit of this Broadway Season? Perhaps WICKED will come to you. The Wonderful Wizard is pleased to announce the launch of the North American Touring production of WICKED. The tour is slated to begin in March 2005 in Toronto followed by Chicago, Los Angles, a triumphant return to San Francisco and beyond. A complete touring schedule is currently being finalized and casting has not yet been announced. We'll keep you posted as further details become available.
