Today I got SRO for The Vertical Hour at 1:23, which was very weird because I thought those tickets would be gone. I was able to get a ticket and got to check it out this afternoon. All can say is that if you want to see some fine acting on Broadway, THIS IS IT! David Hare has written a provocative and witty play that really explores the issues and viewpoints on Iraq. I am not a critic, but I thought Julianne Moore was brilliant! She really played the character of Nadia well and made it seem very intimate, which is a plus in my opinion. Bill Nightly also gives an outstanding performance as the Doctor that should be Tony worthy. I was able to stage door afterwards and got to meet both of them and take a picture with Julianne. They are really incredible people to talk to. When I asked her about her days at the Public Theater, she said that she enjoyed working there allot. GO SEE THIS PLAY! I really enjoyed what Hare and company had to offer.
