Can anyone else see her taking on 'The Woman in White' and singing the hell out of 'All For Laura'? God, it would be gorgeous.

YES! I could so see that. And I could see it being AMAZING too. She would be so great in that show. What a great idea!

Maybe after Piazza finishes its run. Victoria can do almost anything. She'd be great in that show.

Oh my God, TheaterTrash, that is such a brilliant idea. She would really be great as Marian.

Good god.

IMO she is too old, and she wouldn't do well in it.

Every year, it seems that the winner of the Best Actress in a Musical Tony is picked as the "She can do anything (meaning everything) actor..."

She is in her forties. Maria Friedman, I believe, is also in her forties.

There is no need to disrespect anyone or start an argument, which seems to be one of the few things anyone does on this board anymore.

I am a fan of Victoria Clark. I will readily admit that. Do I think she can do absolutely every female role written? NO! Would I ever want to see her as Elphaba? God forbid! I might shoot myself, and I think she would too. I think that she possesses a wealth of talents as a singer and an actress. I think that she can play any role that suits her age and type.

What some forget is that we are by no means casting directors. We can ponder freely, but that is all we can do. There is no need to get defensive if one disagrees with another's idea. All one must do is politely disagree and continue the discussion. Enrich the experience of others, don't destroy. It's not worth it. This is, after all, only a message board.

She always gets made up to look older than she actually is. She looks ten years older in Piazza than she did at the Tonys or when i saw her in person

BwayBoy is right - she looks MUCH younger in person than on stage in Piazza. I don't know anything about Woman in White - but I agree with Zoran - we are not casting directors and they have their specific sights and thoughts for shows - so maybe Victoria would be wonderful in the role - I'm sure she can do anything she puts her mind to.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

WOW. It truly amazes me how a little inanimate man can create such a fuss. This woman has been around for AGES and has ALWAYS been as talented as she is today and no one gave a rat's a** about her until she took home that award.

This world is seriously messed up.

I love Vicki, but I've always thought she was extremely talented.

I mean, seriously... what IS a Tony Award... to the world outside of theatre (and *GASP*... there IS world outside of theatre!). Like a wise (Tony Award winning) woman once said... "that and a dime will get you a cup of coffee." :)

Far from it. I think it would be a terrific idea, even though it won't happen.

Daisy, just to let you know - I've been a fan of Clark's long before she took on the role of Margaret Johnson.

She would be something to see as Desiree, Avigador!

I first became intrigued by Piazza because I loved Vicky's Beggar Woman on the Sweeney Todd in Concert DVD, not to mention the whole Kelli connection because I'm going to OCU next year. I didn't really know too much about Vicky, or Kelli, but now I'm a true admirer of both. Such a talented cast all around.
