I was listening to the CATCF soundtrack on Spotify and I got to the song where Violet meets her demise. I've heard that it is different from the West End production and she actually "explodes" but I am not sure how they actually execute that on stage. Has anyone seen the show and can explain to me how they make that work? Just curious lol

If nothing has changed since I saw it a few months ago, she is wearing an inflatable suit (like a track suit) and she rolls offstage, you hear the explosion and then giant chunks of what are supposed to be entrails I assume come flying out from the wings. Its not gross, they look more like ribbons. Then her dad comes on stage covered in them in shock and the interaction between him and Wonka just staring at each other is pretty funny for several beats.

I saw the play once and I'll be seeing it again on Saturday. Violet "explodes" off stage but before she does she runs off stage as it begins to inflate and then a few seconds later another her rolls on stage, then off and explodes. It is pretty funny the way Christian responds.
