Hey All -

I'm looking to purchase a pair of tix to SOUTH PACIFIC for May or June. I'm wondering as to whether or not Orchestra or Loge Seating is any good? They're offering Row C - 105 and 106 of the the Orchestra, and Row A - 107 and 108 of the Loge section. Seeing as I've never been past W. 55th St. (as far as 'theatregoing' goes), I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Any and all insight greatly, greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
- Mike Vivian Beaumont Seating Help

Well I can't be of much help but I thought I'd put in my $0.02. I saw Piazza there in 2003 and from what I remember it's a fairly small house so, like Cirlcle in the Square, any seat would be fine in my opinion.

The Beaumont is a thrust stage, and it's possible you will miss a lot of action from both the 100's and 500's in the orchestra, particularly up close (I believe Row C in the orchestra is the first row). Until we start hearing about what the set and staging look like, I would avoid those sections.

Row C is the front row of the Orchestra in the Beaumont, correct.

That Loge is about 800 miles above the stage.

Sit ANYWHERE in the Orchestra before you get a seat in that Loge.

Mike, I was advised to avoid the 100s and 500s if I can ! That's the reason I haven't got South Pacific tix for April yet, since they are the only ones available ! I was also advised that, my best bet for a good seat, would be trying same day or day before, since, supposedly, there are always cancellation and returned house tix available on LCT ! I do hope I'm doing the right thing, since there's no way I am missing this !!!
