Could you name some examples of two or three of the same Broadway star singing harmony with his and/or herself, especially on OBCRs?

One can definitely come up: The "there is no one, no one at all" segment of "Goodnight and Thank You" on the OBCR of Evita, in which Mandy Patinkin sings harmony with himself (or at least it sounds like).

Actually everybody who played Sid Sorokin, as a matter of fact.

I think Patinkin is singing harmony with LuPone during that line, it doesn't sound like they overdubbed...

I wouldn't think many cast recordings would use overdubbing because frankly, you can't over dub in a theatre unless its something like MAMMA MIA or JERSEY BOYS where they double voices to replicate a specific studio sound. But even then - they use other actors, not the actor's recorded voice...

What about in Floyd Collins when he's singing with his own echoes?

Does Sutton's singing "I Don't Want To Show Off" while she's drinking a glass of water count?

I think he's overdubbed in the FULL MONTY on "Breeze Off The River."

I've always wondered about Floyd Collins. When it is done live, I'm assuming other guys in the cast provide the echoes, and I wonder if they tracked the same actor's voice over and over again on the recording? Or is it other men in the show echoeing him? It is thrilling, no matter how they do it.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Not a OBCR, but on one of Anthony Warlow's cd's, he sings a duet with himself on "You're Nothing Without Me."

In the score for Floyd Collins it has that written as "Digital Delay", then when it has built to a frenzy it says at the top: "Floyd stopped singing at this point, and a pre-recorded sequence with a more gradual thinning-out of echoes was triggered".

There are several moments in the new TARZAN CD that Josh Strickland seems to be singing along with himself. It sounds great, but makes me wonder what they do in the theatre. Does his harmony sit on a "track" that accompanies his songs?

Also not an OBCR but Susan Egan does all the backup vocals and sings a duet with herself on her CD So Far... .

Not a cast CD, but a Broadway performer and showtune...

On his self-titled album, Mandy Patinkin sings "Pretty Lady" from Pacific Overatures with himself. It's quite effective, although I've always wondered how it would work in a live performance or if he even did it live.

Not a cast album, but Kim Criswell sings with herself on "Who Will Love Me As I Am" on her cd.
