Hey guys,

I'm part of a project right now that I am so proud of. I hope you will be able to make it out to see it.

It is a new musical called WARRIOR, and it's part of this years NYMF festival. It's written by Marcus Hummon, who won the Grammy Award last year for writing "Bless The Broken Road" sung by Rascal Flatts. He also wrote "Ready To Run" and "Cowboy Take Me Away" for the Dixie Chicks. He has songs on everyone's album from Garth Brooks to Wynonna. Not to mention he has about 25 albums out himself. Anywho...

Marcus has written this brilliantly beautiful score telling the life story of Jim Thorpe, who many call the greatest american athlete of all time. Deven May stars as Jim Thorpe, and the cast also includes Marla Schaffel (Jane Eyre), Brian Charles Rooney (Three Penny Opera), Louis Tucci (Buddy), Sherrie Austin (Ring Of Fire), Nancy Slusser (Menopause: The Musical), Trisha Jeffery (Little Shop Of Horrors), Erick Pinnick, TJ Mannix, Cole Burden, Aaron Capps, and...oh...me.

The show is music directed by Dana Rowe (composer of "Zombie Prom" and "Witches Of Eastwick" among other shows), and directed by Michael Bush (Based On A Totally True Story).

Anyway, so besides this being a shameless plug, I have never been part of a such a touching show. I think everyone deserves to see this piece and experience the amazing music this man has created. Believe me, you will walk out of there humming the music. Hope some or all of you can make it out.
