I saw it. What I remember most is Jessica James' brilliant and outrageously funny performance.

I agree - Jessica James was incredible and easily the most memorable thing about the show.

I just searched around the Internet looking for more info on Jessica James. Sadly she passed away in 1990 from breast cancer.
Interesting to note that she was one of two standbys for the role of Joanne in the original production of COMPANY. Elaine Stritch needed two standbys?

I loved it at the time, thinking it uproarious. It was also the first time I had seen a 'gay' character onstage so I completely identified. I'll never forget the commercial, "I'll just peck...", as she takes a huge forkful of pasta of of anothers plate. And Bunny, climbing up that telephone pole. It took place it SE Philadelphia as I recall.
