I'm sure I'll be dissapointed with your answers... but... i figured it was worth giving it a shot.
My wife and I just planned a spontaneous 1 day trip to NYC for March 14th. We thought we'd go in on an early Wednesday morning, see a matinee show, then see a night show... and go home the next day.
We're going to try and TKTS "The Drowsy Chaperone" for matinee so we can see Sutton before she leaves the show.
However, we want to try for WICKED... again! This of course being our 8th or 9th attempt. We always try in the summer and have never won.
I guess my question is, since its not the busy summer tourist season now in March... is there any chance that WICKED lotto will be a little easier to win? Has anyone tried in the last few weeks? We're trying to get an idea of whether or not it'll be as competitive.

is that the best way to go?
Why would I suggest it if it wasn't the best way to go? Do you think I am trying to screw you over?
The matinee is less crowded than the night show for lottos. TKTS usually has rear orch tickets for shows anyway, if you do the lotto you will have front row seats.

i think you misunderstood what i was saying... what i meant was... i wanted to see both wicked and drowsy chaperone on the same day. wicked matinee lotto starts at 11:30... TKTS opens at 10:00 (i believe).
lets say i try for the wicked matinee lotto, but dont get the matinee ticket... then at that point, TKTS will have already been open for almost 2 hours... which means that if i ran back over to TKTS in hopes of purchasing some good matinee tickets for Drowsy Chaperone, i wouldnt get to the booth till nearly 12. most of the good matinee seats for Drowsy Chaperone will have been gone already. since the booth had already been open for 2 hours... i'm assuming.
i guess i just wanted to know if WICKED LOTTO was a little easier to win at this time of year... thats all... but i'm assuming its not. thanks.

Just to warn you, you might not be too much better off than you were in the summer. I've found it fairly hard to get rush seats mid-March through early-April because so many college students are on spring break and NYC is a popular destination for them. Shows like Wicked are popular with students already, so adding extra students makes it even harder.
Good luck! :)
