Ok, so we all know where Kristin had her mic placed.

And, in this picture, courtesy of hiltified.org, we see that Megan has a different placement of the mic.

Question is, does anyone know how or why certain performers, particularly in WICKED, have their mics placed in different positions for the exact same roles? Thanks.

Is the megan picture definately taken before going onstage in the actual show? Maybe it was for some event. I'm pretty sure almost all the actors have the mics on their foreheads, I don't see any reason why they would change that

I was thinking the same thing, missny. I think everyone's doing the forehead thing right now. Except RENT, obviously, but it seems like coming down by the chin would be too obvious.

I know that whoever goes on for Elphaba has 2 mics on her and one mic in her hat. I'm sure that whoever is playing G(a)linda would also have numerous mics(just in case)

the picture of megan was na event she did it was not her doing the show cause that is not her dressing room upstairs or any dressinng room in the gershwin theater,it was taken of her doing a performance of galinda outside of the gershwin .Every actor has a mic on their forehead no one has them in WICKED on the side

Mics on the forehead is the standard now. It's the best place for the sound to be picked up (to get the best, resonant sound) and can be easily hidden.

The picture of Megan with the side mics was taken before a 1-day promotion event she did several months ago in Florida. It must have been what was available at the time.
