ohh that makes me sad, i was actually looking foward to seeing a performance from them. when did you find out that they weren't performing? and do you know why?

Sure, I was looking forward to Wicked, but Caroline, or Change is just as good. It pisses me off when people say "oh, I don't want to wake up for nothing!" Sometimes I think people are Wicked fans and not Broadway fans. Every shows has a different style and qualities.

I agree, I just was looking foward to seeing Wicked. I'm sure Caroline will be great, especially since Anika Noni Rose is performing!

Umm...I think that you should still wake up for WICKED because the website still says:
"In 'Today on the Plaza,' the cast of the Broadway play, 'Wicked' performs live on the Plaza."

and the digital cable descripion only says: "songs from 'Wicked'"

Id still tune in

Anyone have any clue if there's a number to call and verify? I know a few people who are travelling for this and I'd hate for them to travel into city for no WICKED.

Not a dis to any other musicals, but there are folks who are strictly fans of WICKED. To show up at an ungodly hour on a Saturday and be told WICKED iasn't performing just plain sucks!

It would be nice to get a legitimate confirmation either way from either WICKED"s people or NBC!

Maybe BOTH shows will perform? Probably not, but I'd be in heaven!

Dag, I wish I had read about the change before bed last night. I woulda taped Caroline. NOT that I wouldn't have adored hearing the dulcet singing tones and warm and accessible acting styles of the thespian of his generation: Mr. Norbert Leo Butz before 9 o'clock in the morning.
