Gee, shocking. These are the Grammy's they don't even air, right?
OH MY GOD! FIRST you start a thread to ask who won, you get an answer, and part of your answer was that there have been several threads already. THEN you start this thread??

What a shocker. Isn't this like Schwartz's 3rd Grammy?
yay for wicked!! yay for stephen schwartz, he deserved some kind of recognition for Wicked, it's such a remarkable piece...

I'm so very glad for Stephen and "Wicked," but the Grammy's have gone down hill big time. I mean, let's face it. It's great that "Wicked" won, but who else has a Grammy? Eminem, Britney Spears, Usher, Beyonce, Monica, Christina Aguilera, Sheryl Crow, No Doubt, Brandy, Outkast. Yes, I understand that these are different genres of music, but, hardly any of these people (in my opinion, none of them) are talented. Just my two cents, but, YAY for "Wicked"!

Britney Spears never won a Grammy
*Edit* My bad, I didn't watch it so I didn't actually know.
Oh, guess again my friend. She won this very evening for dance song, "Toxic."

Wow - the musifcal with the biggest, most overblown orchestrations and arrangements won over the simpler, more tasteful ones. What a surprise.
My Johnny won tonight...I was pumped about that.
But, his shoes left something to be desired...
oohh what did mr mayer win? I love the man!!
Jukebox, I think the only decent artist in your list is Sheryl Crow.
Congat's to WICKED. It's a fantastic recording!

This should be known as "the Rod Stewart rule".
His similarly cheeseball platinum-seller beat out Barbara Cook.
I thinkj Boy From Oz and Ave Q had MUCH more memorable and better music (saw all 3).
Ya know...say what you want about Britney Spears... but "Toxic" is a pretty great song. It manages to be a dance song, yet still have a discernible melody, and it doesn't ape or sound quite like anything else.
