Perhaps they should have performed a medley that showcased both actresses more. That way Idina might not have been so nervous. Maybe, "Loathing," "One short day," and ending with DG??

ENOUGH! Maybe the Wicked performance wasn't up to the normal Gershwin par, but it was good! I don't care if you guys want to analyze the crap out of singing styles and sounds---DG got across the point of the spectacle and the heart of the show, and there is no need to beat this horse into oblivian!!!!

I agree-it's not necessary to have millions of posts from either end-but this is the most recent one thus my response. There was no need to start this thread (whether i agree or disagree) mainly because it could be discussed on about 50 other ones, and because the topic itself could also be discussed on any of the posts that were up even before the tonys.
i'm just frustrated that people are just writing the same thing over and over again...nothing against anyone in particular on this thread.

Posted: 6/7/04 at 7:19pmya'll, it was not just wicked that did not perform well. None of the shows did a good job in my opinion. Everyone was a little off, and hey.. that's allowed when you're performing 8 times a week.

I realized that what I said had already been covered in a couple other threads so I thought I would spare you.

Posted: 6/7/04 at 8:25pmi think avenue q certainly put on the performance of the night comparitively tho i felt wicked faired decently (tho i would have prefered to see "wonderful" performed...and yes i know joel wasn't nominated but still)
