Cant they simply find it an enjoyable night of theatre--?
Do you think people go into a show NOT wanting to like it? I want to like everything I see- Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont. I happen to love "Wonderland", but I dont really sit there trying to figure out why, and I dont expect others to try to figure it out for me, which is what you seem to be trying to do.
As far as being exposed to "good theatre"- Who gets to decide what is "good theatre?" Isnt that totally subjective?
My favorite shows are "Ragtime", "Caroline or Change", "Dessa Rose", "Next to Normal" and "Avenue Q"-
Most consider these to be "good theatre"--- So, does this mean I cant like "Wonderland" as well?
Mr. Roxy, Memphis won Tonys for Score and Musical because it didn't have any competition.
