Don't know if this has been posted (ok, too lazy to search), but tonight on WWOR (NY) Chicago's firework's display is being broadcast at 8PM with performances by the Chicago casts of Wicked, The Color Purple and High School Musical.

Are you sure about this?
When I saw the promo a few days ago and went to the orchestra's website they didn't mention any performers.
I'm watching just in case.

Posted: 7/4/07 at 8:23pmThe camera work and angles were all pretty bad during the Spelling Bee performance. However, I guess this makes me feel better about not going to this live on Monday.

Posted: 7/4/07 at 8:47pmI don't think the girl who sang for the Color Purple sounded all that great. She cracked on a few notes, which isn't the problem, but I just didn't think the song suited her voice as well as Fantasia or LaChanze.

Posted: 7/5/07 at 2:10pmOkay, I'll have to do that. I'm sure it was just an "off" day as she seemed very strained on some notes. I mean it's a live performance so you can't expect perfection everytime. I didn't think the girl who sang from Wicked was all that great either.
