Waiting for the Moon: An American Love Story

"Before Elvis and Priscilla, Sonny and Cher, Madonna and Whoever, there was F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald - prototypes for beauty and talent, spin and narcissism. Theirs was a reckless world of Speakeasies and Jazz, with money-to-burn on champagne smuggled in from abroad and enough indiscretion to make the National Enquirer drool with envy. From the Frank Wildhorn, composer of Jekyll and Hyde and Jack Murphy, lyricist of Civil War, comes a new musical that has enough dancing to make you swing, singing to make you cry, and heart to make your whole world come alive."

Originally called Fritz and Zelda: This Side of Paradise, this is Frank Wildhorn's newest show opening in the United States. (He also has a new version of Cyrano opening in London.) The show will be previewing and then openining in the Lenape Regional PAC in New Jersey.

This link to the music has been posted before on BWW. I am quite excited for this show. Not that I don't like his other music (which I obviously do), but this is very different for him.

I am praying that I am able to make it down to NJ to see this show and am also hoping that it will be good enough to make it to Broadway - if that is the ultimate intention.

This is one of the best scores Wildhorn has ever composed. Besides, CAMILLE CLAUDEL, CYRANO, and SCARLET PIMPERNEL I think this may be Wildhorn's strongest score to date. I have the demo CD and it is HOT ****!!

Enjoy!
