I'll be in NYC from the Mon to Weds of Thanksgiving week and would like to see Waitress for the last time before it closes. Was gonna try rush, but if anyone has experience of this, does it tend to be busier for shows during Thanksgiving week (not Thanksgiving weekend). Don't wanna queue any earlier than I need to! Also for anyone who has rushed recently please can you let me know where the rush seats tend to be? Thanks in advance :)
I rushed yesterday (Friday, 11/22) and arrived at the theatre at roughly 7:30ish and was the first person there. Another person arrived at around 7:50ish. No one else arrived until 9. By the time the box office opened there were maybe ten people there? Maybe less. My seats were Left orchestra row A, seat numbers 9 and 11. They were definitely partial view and we couldn't really see anything in the left corner of the stage. Luckily, the rest of the row hadn't been purchased so we were able to move over during act 1 and were able to see everything a lot better.
Just rushed today (Tue, 11/26); got there around 9:15 and was probably the 7th person there. My seat is in Front Mezz B 25 which kinda sucks because I got really great Orch seats over the summer, so this probably has something to do with Kat and Drew being back.
