Nearly fell off my chair when I saw "Wall E". The Broadway reference is precious.

'Well, Well 'Hello Wall E', Say 'Hello Wall E'

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

If one hasn't seen it yet, would it ruin the plot to ask what it was?

I haven't seen it yet but part of the plot reminds me of a Red Dwarf story I read once.

***SPOILER***

Just watch the movie!

***END SPOILER***

(Edited due to WickedBoy2's request)

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Haha if you wish.

I went into the film knowing it was part of the plot. There was an interview with Andrew Stanton about his love of (you know what show).

I loved the Hello Dolly references, and the whole movie in general. I was expecting good, but my mind hole was blown! And all of those different art representations of Wall-E at the end were so much fun!

Rant, Wickud, Rant, Wickud, Rant! We're not gonna pay Rant! 'Cause everythink is Wickud!

lakezurich will be played by Paul Groves in the BWW musical

Go to apple.co go to movie trailers, click on Wall-E and watch the eight short films. I suppose they are character sketches, made to prove the Wall-E character will work. The one with the vacuum cleaner is adorable.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that there's so much love for something DISNEY on the board? :)

I think it's "escapism" (if that is an actual word) ---

Disney and Broadway are outlets for many people. At least for us, it is. Both are ways to escape the "real world".

Oh I totally get it Testing. :)

It's just there's usually so much hatred for all things Disney on the board, I was just sort of jokingly surprised to see love for a Disney movie. :)

Thats because PIXAR hasn't done done a musical yet !!! :))

Now, if they could duplicate what they have done with "Finding Nemo"- The Musical at Animal Kingdom, and bring it here, I think Disney would have a critical hit !!

Thanks ! Oh, how I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall during one of the Pixar "think tanks", when they discuss upcoming projects. So many brilliant minds !!

Wall-E is distributed by Disney - it's not MADE by them (which is obvious) - it's MADE by Pixar.

Thanks for clarifying what I know Bruce. My sister works for Disney. As I said to testing, it's just that if the word Disney ever gets mentioned, distributor or not, there is usually all kinds of vitriol on this board around it. I just found the love for the movie mildly amusing. That's all.

Bruce, I know you know this already, so I don't know why you wrote what you did, but Pixar is a subsidiary of Disney. Therefore it is correct to say that anything Pixar makes is made by Disney. Pixar is Disney.
