Really, I can't believe how mean some of you guys are being to these kids. They aren't professionals, but they ALL have talent and are hardly bad enough to be laughed at!! Aren't performers suppoed to support each other?!
And I don't know why everyone keeps comparing this to AI in a negative way. Most of the people on American Idol are talented too!!!!
What's so pathetic about it? I think its a fun neat idea ,and I REALLY don't think any of those 15 people really expect to be cast. But thats just my opinion. Let the bashing continue

Posted: 1/17/04 at 5:45pmIt's just opinions. You can't like everybody all of the time and not everybody is going to like you all of the time either. Just because they aren't professional has nothing to do with it, we all have opinions on professionals as well.

Plus, these people know that they are going to audition for a director. If the directors do cast them- most of their voices will be shot after one weeks worth of shows. Kinda funny to watch.
And some do have talent, but for the most part- no.
And as for performers supporting each other, not all of us are performers, I promise you (I am, but I'm sure that some here aren't). And critics don't have to be professional actors to critique people. We all can have our opinions.
And props to the girl auditioning for Mimi (from NJ) for actually sitting down for part of the songs Some looked ridiculous singing and standing up as stiff as a stick.

Posted: 1/18/04 at 5:47pmhmmm interesting comments by all. I think that a lot of these people(especially the girls) have great voices and that most of them have been trained vocally. Now that being said...they look like they don't know what to do with themselves while they are audtioning. As my teacher would say "take yourself into action, don't just be a talking(or in this case singing) head." But these people are definitely singers first if they are even actors at all..but at least most of them are damn good singers. Ok enough rambling.

Well this is fun I have never seen anything like this before. The audition tapes online. its a lot of fun. Here are my opinions
If we go with who "fits the role", voice and acting ability, I definitely think only 2 of them have it. Aliza and mark are the only two who stood out for me. They were definitely the most enjoyable to watch even though I dont know if i think aliza has the best voice out of everyone, she definitely has the best attitude when performing as mimi. Mark definitely has that calm roger demeanur. He was sexy yet approachable, with great potential. All of them have talent. Those two just seemed to be the most real and at ease with their performance :). My final vote was for mark.

My dear, have you seen All About Eve? If you want a profession where everyone supports one another, you're barking up the wrong tree.
