For everyone wondering about my Michelle Federer replacement inside scoop... Wikepedia is now confirming it. Found on Michelle's section of the site today:
"continues to perform that role to this day, and her run of Wicked is scheduled to end January 8th, 2006. Federer will be succeeded by fellow Wicked veteran and understudy Cristy Candler"
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Anyway, I thought Wikipedia articles were mostly just pieces of information submitted by people.

Posted: 12/30/05 at 6:21pmWikipedia is tightening the leash on people submitting things so I'm not sure if you still add things yourself. As for Michelle, I do know she auditioned for a show I'm working on so if she is looking for work, I coul imagine this to be true. Nessa is a boring role so how she played it for this long I'll never know.

I don't think it's a "wasted" effort for JLG to appear on Broadway as Nessa. Most of the comments made about how wonderful she is have been due to seeing her in this very role in the tour. How can that be wasted, then? I saw her play the part in L.A., and was VERY impressed and even moved by her performance as the Wicked Witch of the East.
Yeah, I'd like to see her now in something else... and a bigger role. But let's not knock what she's coming to New York with: a chance to shine and impress the Broadway community and its audiences.
