Did Morgan almost go up on a line, or is there always that pause?
This is my second favorite Christmas song, and no offense to Miss Lansbury, Miss Garland or anyone else, but the Muppets do it the best. (In fact, hearing "But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry" sounds wrong)

Merry Christmas! I have to admit, I start EARLY, probably right after Halloween. The first Saturday of each December, I host a GLOBAL soiree. This year, even with the cancellations due to snow, 90 men showed up. A wonderful time was had by all, I do admit, and no one left hungry. Last weekend I hosted a turkey feast for my unemployed friends which was quite moving. Yes-it's a time of love and friendship, but we love our shows. This time of year there are so many to choose from! A Little Night Music, The Royal Family and the Radio City Spectacular were right up my alley, each leaving me elated and happy to live in the New York City area.
We DO need a little Christmas (it's not all about 2012 just yet)...let's joyously spread it around!

Posted: 12/16/09 at 11:12amThink about this song- in an age when Christmas decor clashes with Halloween Pumpkins, Mame is apologizing for putting up the Christmas decorations a week after Thanksgiving! I think a case could be made we need a lot less Christmas.
