Wedding Singer Costumes

I saw Wedding Singer last night with Tina Maddigan (I will post a review later) and I have some questions about the costumes (and I don't know if you would consider some of the stuff I say spoilers, but there might be some):
1) Before "It's All About the Green" does Robbie always wear a Rutgers zip up sweatshirt? I remember him dressing like that when he went into the office, but I thought the sweatshirt said something else.
2) During the scene where Robbie sees Julia in Las Vegas - that little knitted shrug that Tina Maddigan wore over her dress (I don't think Laura Benanti wears that outfit) - is it from Aeropostale? I was like "OMG I have the same thing!"
3) How come sometimes if a standby goes on, the costumes change for them? Like when I saw Laura perform as Julia, during the scene where she gets drunk, she had a blue dress with a big neckline. However when Tina was on, it was a colorful dress that was more low-cut. Does it save money on having to make the same costume but a different size or something? Some of the costumes seemed like outfits they would buy in a store, so I'm wondering instead of bothering to find the same outfit in different sizes they just pick out different outfits.

I can only answer one of these: and I thought I was paying attention, I guess i will have to see it again and notice this stuff. The shirt Robbie used to wear used to say NEW YORK, but I think that was in previews - they switched it to Rutgers last time I saw it. WHICH IS HILARIOUS!! Much love to the Wedding Singer and Tina Maddigan!

Tina's "Saturday Night" costume used to be made out of the same material/color fabric as Laura's - only it was tighter and had spaghetti straps.
Then one day randomly they changed it to this brown and green wrap dress looking thing. I'm not sure if it's changed again since then.

Sorry to be nit-picky, but Laura and Tina play Julia, not Linda. :o)
I've noticed that standbys sometimes have different costumes too, and I've always wandered why...maybe different body types or something?

Nope, it's just like in the Animal Kingdom you have to put understudies/standbys in bright colors as a warning to the other actors that this is someone new. BEWARE.
Just kidding.

Hmm...another theory I had was that a lot of Wedding Singer's costumes are actual stuff people wore everyday in the 80s and the costume designers can easily mix and match stuff and find new outfits that can be used in the show. As opposed to a show like Drowsy Chaperone...those arent everyday outfits and they usually stick to the same costume.
Sorry that doesn't really make sense.
