#0Weirdest dream about "Phantom Of The Opera"...
Posted: 4/14/06 at 10:01amSo I dreamt I saw a touring production in Florida for some reason. It started with the lights dimming and a young version of Christine doing ballet to candle light while that eerie musical theme plays (A - Bb - E - D - A - Bb - E.....) Then, the chandelier begins to shake, but the music stays quiet and doesn't swell. Then it begins to plummet but stops halfway down and the lights go out. Then, the older Christine comes on stage and sings this version of Think Of Me that I have NEVER heard before (it was all like tritones and ****). Then, the Phantom comes onstage but he is not wearing a mask and his face isn't deformed. Then they make out to the Hannibal music. Then a stagehand starts yelling at me to help him so I run into the aisle and we're carrying this big cardboard box and we jump onto the stage and into the wings and crush the box on the downbeat of the music so the sound of the crushing is muffled. However, it springs up and makes noise afterwards. The actor playing Monsieur Andre is in the wings and says "SHHHHH!!!" and then the Phantom is darting at us and he is suddenly wearing the mask and he grabs me by the throat. I hear the music box melody (Masquerade) and wake-up. Am I crazy? What the hell is that about?

I've had a phantom dream too, not as detailed as yours though.
And no I don't think you're crazy.

I had an equally wacky dream about Sweeney Todd on Valentine's Day; would you like me to elaborate? It's all lovely and weird. :)
And no you're not crazy. It's gotten to the point where if there is no theatre or sex in my dreams then I think theres soemthing wrong.

'Crazy' is such a dirty word.
I don't think you're crazy at all.
However, I do think we all need to get out more.

That's a sick dream!
I had a bizarre Spamalot dream the other night.

oh yeah? You're not crazy because I also had the strangest Phantom dream...it was a while ago though.
Yeah, so here it goes...i don't remember specifics but i'll tell what i do remember.
So i'm like going on this trip to see Phantom on Broadway with like some people that I know from school...some of my classmates, etc. wierd thing is: when we enter the theatre the stage looks exactly like my middle school auditorium stage. another wierd thing is that instead of seats we're sitting on top of sofa cushions and they're piled on top of each other so it's real tall and i'm like trying to balance myself on top of it.
next thing i know, the Phantom and Christine are singing the title song and all the special catwalks and effects are there.
then suddenly there's seats and im kneeling as if i didnt want to be seen next to the front row.
and then...poof!...im on stage and the song ends and i'm standing next to the Phantom and i just felt that i had that "What the hell" look upon my face.
.......yeah, i know, it's real confusing...but many of my dreams are like that....:)

I had a dream where I was in Wicked, but it was being performed in a baseball field. And I was playing Glinda. And I'm a dude.
Oh, and Julia Roberts was there.

Phantom dreams are my favorite. :)
The strangest Phantom dream I've ever had was one where my local theatre group tried to pull off a production of it... And if you've ever seen our theatre and group, you would understand how halarious that is.
