There's some pretty weird homeless people in Duluth. Once my brother and I were in a tunnel underneath some railroad tracks and we saw some homeless people going at it. We figured it was best to leave and not alert them of our presence. It would be such a great place to have a party, since the whole tunnel is covered in grafitti and it's really beautiful, but the people living there can be sort of unpredictable. Some are nice though.

I always feel bad for the guys that stand at intersections with signs that say like, "Homeless war veteran with dogs in need of food." Some of them are fakes though, and that pisses me off.

My top three: Adventures in Babysitting (it was my first!), David Searching, then Rent. After that it would probably be Road Trip, than A Beautiful Mind.

The deer in the Ring 2 freaked me out! But then again, I'm just easy to scare.

Ringu was better than the Ring, but I like how the dead people looked in The Ring.
Whoa, I sound morbid. And creepy.

"They're singing, "Happy Birthday"
You just wanna lay down and cry
Not just another birthday, it's 30/90
Why can't you stay 29
Hell, you still feel like you're 22
Turn 30 in 1990
Bang! You're dead, what can you do?"

Sounds like my dad too. And my brother. My mom remaines immune to their homophobia, I'm happy to say.

My dad actually quite likes musicals. I'm trying to convince him to take me to Rent if and when the tour comes here. He's more likely to say yes than my mom, since she hates all musical theater with the exception of Andrew Lloyd Webber. She doesn't like Phantom though, so what good does that do?

It's sort of like that with my mom. She's okay with gay people, as long as I'm not one of them.

My mom will read some article, like the one in Time about how the Church is banning gay priests or whatever, and say like, "That is horrible, blah blah blah!" then if I saw something that I didn't even mean to be about me being gay, even though I don't even know if I am, and she percieves it that way, she'll get all snippy and she's like, "What, are you a lesbian now?!?" It's weird. And hypocritical.

It's like hiding a completely normal part of yourself. I hate that.
I want a calendar! Wah!

I love talking about gay rights just because everyone I'm surrounded by disagrees with me. But that's what I get for going to a Catholic school. I like when I can hear, or, watch I guess, people with the same opinions as me talk. It makes me feel, for lack of a better phrase, not alone.

People at my school scare the crap out me, because they're always quoting Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson, or, worst case scenario, Fred Phelps. *shudder* Notice how they're all old white guys? I can't wait to get out of here and to a bigger school.

I don't get why parents can disown their gay kids. I just want to say, "You loved him yesterday before you knew he was gay.... How can so much change? He's still your son."

Yeah. I know what you mean. He gave me courage to come out to a few friends, and seriously seriously consider coming out to my parents. I'm still scared. I shouldn't be though. It makes me feel sort of ashamed that I can't even tell my own parents.

My view on gay people in the 7th grade (which, okay, was last year) was basically, "Yeah, I'm one of them. What the hell am I supposed to do now?" I still don't know what to do.

I just joined our school's GSA. Good thing, too, they were out of ideas for Day of Silence this year.
