West Coast

Hi,

I am travelling through the West Coast starting next week. I was fine with the fact that I would have to skip the whole theatre part this time around (SO did the itinerary and didn't really leave much time to spare). However, I have noticed that while we are in San Francisco Waitress is also touring there and when we are in Los Angeles, we could possibly catch Dear Evan Hansen and Come From Away. Seeing that I am from a small European country that produces exactly zero musicals, I usually do a theatre trip to London every few months, however, the shows mentioned above, are not there yet and I am super excited about all three. Now, what would be the best way to buy the tickets? Do the tours do student rush/lottery/returns too? If anyone has any suggestions on what else to see - theatre wise or not, in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego, please do let me know (can be musicals, good theatre, shows, concerts, smaller productions, etc.)

For Waitress in San Francisco, the TodayTix app is your best bet. That's how I got tickets to see the show (for $45 per ticket including fees). You just have to snag them just after 9 a.m. Pacific time for that evening's show because supply is limited.

I'm less certain about rush availability for Come From Away in LA, although the show isn't selling out yet and there are reasonable - not cheap - seats available. Dear Evan Hansen is a tough ticket in LA for a bargain price.
