West End Live

This is no huge announcement, as we have it every year, and is similar shows each year, but is on 20th and 21st June and the line up (SO FAR) is:

Avenue Q
La Cage Aux Folles
Chicago
Dirty Dancing
Jersey Boys
Jody Prenger from Oliver!
Shout!
Sister Act
Stomp
Thriller Live
We Will Rock You
Wicked
Priscilla
Hairspray
Carousel
and THRILLER LIVE (HOW AMAZING!)
The highlight for me will be Jerry Springer performing!

I'll go on Saturday if I don't have any kind of last minute emergencies blowing up in my face, but Sunday is UFO day, so it's a wash.

Of course, everybody who's coming into the city for West End Live would be well served by booking a ticket and coming down to the Battersea Barge to relax in an intimate cabaret setting afterward. =)

I'm going on the Saturday on my own!

Am surprised that the Mamma Mia! cast seems not to do it this year. First time since WEL started in 2005, but then I assume since cast change is just the weekend before...
Think I give it a miss this year. Enjoyed it the first three years, but last year it was just too overcrowded for me.

Not all performers have been announced yet remember!

Argh, why Saturday 20th June?
That day I am overbooked (School Fete for Scouts, Group BBQ for Scouts, Chief Scout award presentations and I was invited to the Isle of Wight). I keep telling myself I'll go next year. I guess I'll have to tell myself again.

What about the Sunday? It is a two day event remember!

I know there is Sunday too but I always feel so empty coming home from London without seeing a show and I don't think there are any Sunday ones I want to see.

"I don't think there are any Sunday ones I want to see."

Sure there is. You want to see UFO at the Battersea Barge. And yes, I will shut up when you've all bought tickets. =)

You might need to tell us what it is. :)

I thought it was pretty clear in the Press Release (see below) but ok...

UFO is a cabaret night of songs from sci-fi, horror, and comic book musicals. Some of the songs are MT standards, some are from semi-obscure shows, some are from flops, and some have never been performed before in the UK. Direction is by Robin Dearden (aka Lizzy Drip).
