Posted: 1/14/05 at 11:01pmit's pretty much a toss up. Most ALW shows came from West End, but new shows like Millie & classic shows like Anything Goes are huge hits from the US in London...

Posted: 1/15/05 at 2:12amThe passage from UK to US is a relatively new phenomenon. From the '30s to the '60s the journey was almost entirely one way as virtually every Broadway hit was reproduced, usually in every detail and frequently with American leads, in the West End. Some London blockbusters, such as "Oliver!", "Irma La Douce" and "Half a Sixpence" had successful runs on Broadway in the '60s.
