West Side Story Open Call/Maria

Does anyone have inside info on what the casting folks for the broadway "West Side Story" want in terms of how Maria should look? This may seem like a strange question, but I know a couple of the girls who went in and they all pretty much fit the bill of the standard "Maria" look. I know spanish fluency is a must (i've read the sides and she speaks most of her scenes in spanish) and looking young. But now the new Open call states "17-21, innocent but sexual". I'm confused as to what I should present to them. Are they looking for a new type of Maria, maybe more edgy? I've always adapted my look to what is expected of her character. Any insider info?

As regards "innocent but sexual", I've read in interviews that the Tony/Maria scenes will be more passionate/physical than usual.

Shoot, you can be up to 21 years old? If I were Latina, I'd probably go up to NYC to audition even though I wouldn't get cast in a million years.

Shouldn't they be casting this role on a TV show? Or maybe just Tony. They can call it "A Boy Like That".
