I love Barrett in the show, however, I must say that my favorite performer (and often overlooked) is Rick Lyons. He is amazing, funny, touching, sweet in his performance (my personal favorite) as Trekkie. Adorable.

How many people showed up for the lottery? Has the numbers dwindled from the past few months? The last time I went, there were about 50 people in line for the lottery.

It was packed.
Deb must have brought me luck. I was called first.
Never happens.
Rick is incredible. His facial expressions with the bad idea bear just cracked me up. He really looked like the blue bear.
He is faboo. So is Jen and no one talks about her.
She does a mean twistletwat.

Sounds fun, Corine. I never tire of Q either.

I was especially glad to see such praise of Rick Lyon. I feel that he was robbed of a Tony nomination. Completely underrated. His performance work is phenomenal in Q, not to mention his artistry in the creation of the puppets.

Thx for your post...

Scooter,
Rick is the reason the show is such a success.
He designed the puppets and brought the talent to Jeff Marx and
Robert Lopez.
He brought Stephanie, Jen and John to the show.
He is also a very nice man. They all are.
Even with all the fame, they are the nicest cast in town.
I had the pleasure of doing a talkback with the cast last year and all of them were incredible.
They all deserve a standing ovation everyday.

Glad you had a great time. I also never tire of Q. I've seen both barret and john...I think Barret is a great replacement, and he does a great Princeton, not to mention he is such a great guy, but there is only one Rod, and it's John. And I agree...Rick and Jen are very underrated, and both are such amazing performers and such nice people.

I love reading all the nice comments about Rick Lyon. A Tony nom for his performance would have been great, but I really really thought he could and should have gotten one of the special "Tony Honors" last fall for designing the Q puppets, and I was surprised and disappointed when he didn't. He's so talented, and just comes across as such an interesting and engaging guy, and yes, I think he's cute, and darn it, I swear I haven't had a crush this big and stupid since I was a teenager, but I'm just totally smitten with him. Spoiler Alert Hooray for Rick!
