For a girl: Millie (Thoroughly Modern Millie)

For a boy: It sounds weird but I'd shorten Schadenfreude (the song from Avenue Q) to just Schaden. I actually think it's kinda cute.

Hmm, not sure you'd want to name a kid a word that essentially means "Harm."

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

LOL Spork, but I have this thing of just assuming most people when I first meet them aren't that bright to begin with (that way when I find out that they are indeed not idiots, I'm pleasantly surprised). Besides if someone wants to screw with my son they'll have a helluva fight on their hands.

I actually really like the name 'Schaden.' And, heck, the meaning is no worse than a whole lot of other names-- I mean, the name 'Claudia' means 'lame,' for crying out loud.

Oh Schmergy!!! I've actually known some pretty BLAND girls named Claudia, what are the odds? Their parents really nailed it on the head with that one huh?

Being named Claudia, I object. Most baby books list "lame" as the meaning because Emperor Claudius had a limp. As far as I'm concerned, that's a stupid reason, because the name obviously existed first (at least the male version). My mother had a book that listed the definition as "dazzling," which I am more inclined to believe.

My first born son *will* be Marius. (he's not my favourite character, but it's a bit less evil than Javert, Enjolras or Grantaire)
I'd consider Florence, at least as a middlename for a girl (Chess)
One of my top girl names is Carrie, though that's to do with the Europe song rather than the book/film/musical. Still, I'm convinced the name is going to get rather popular soon with all the SATC fans, so I've gone off it a bit lately.

Yero-- I didn't mean to offend! It's a lovely name-- I've always liked it, ever since my Babysitter's Club obsession days.

Acaila, maybe your Marius and my Marius can have playdates...

Going back to a while ago...

Schmerg: I realized about 5 seconds after I posted that I implied your name as a boy's name. But alas, I was too lazy to fix it, so I'll fix it now. I'm such a dumb blonde, I'm unaware I'm a brunette.

kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.
