What Did You Pay Your LaCage Tix?

Again, bemoaning the fact that a show is closing brings out the fanatics that are SOOOOOOOO upset and want to cry. They want "everyone to buy tickets", I guess in an attempt to save it. Fat chance.
So, for all you complaining it is closing, please post here how much of your own money you shelled out to see this show. No comps, no discounts, not "a friend bought one for me" no second acting...FULL PRICE....ONLY.

For two shows, once with my parents and on this Saturday that's just me, I've spent $330 on tickets for La Cage. Add in $7 for a magnet and if I can find a poster with Daniel's name on it (haha on that one...) add another $25. If there was a cast album I'd gladly give another $20.

2 full priced orchestra tickets (I'm sorry I don't remember the price but I got them through Telecharge or Ticketron - whatever) plus two refrigerator magnets (they didn't have the fancy one until I'd seen the show the second time).

The point remains that if a show can't draw enough of an audience of first-timers, it doesn't have a future.

And for the record, Corine posted in another thread, that she had purchased two full price tickets. But she then went on to add that she also took 56 people to see it, which I can only assume was in the capacity as a tour leader for one of her several jobs.

I spent $200 for tickets, $100 each of the two times I saw it (First time in January, second time again in early March before Beach began filming).

Loved every second of it and worth every penny.

I took 56 people from Urban Outings to see it.
It was a blast. I did a talkback with the Cagelles, Bryan Batt, Gavin Creel.
I also purchased two full price tickets before my event.
You could say I loved La Cage and am sorry to hear it is closing.
The Cagelles are by far one of the most talented groups On Broadway.
I am especially sad for Andy, who gave the performance of a lifetime. He blew me away.
If you can, go and see La Cage.
Do it for the dancing. Do it for the hot chorus girls.

Do it for me!

I went once in April.
I have seen La Cage 4 times. More then most shows. (One time was free as it was a work event)
The only shows I have seen more are:
Forbidden Broadway (49)
Q (6)

Core, just for you I ordered two full price tix on-line to the humable tune of $230.87. Even though I will be unable to attend, since I will be caring for Lana (it gets worse everyday, I tell ya.) But I wanted to keep your dream alive.
By the way, I LOVE Urban Outfitters. It is one of my favorite stores. Did you take the whole staff for the Christmas Party? I assume you e-mailed every last one of them to help in your plight. Are you a manager there? Do you get a discount? Did you pay for all of their tickets? If so that was sooooo generous of you. If not, did they pay full price? Urban Outfitters must pay pretty well. Are you hiring? My Niece, Lana will be looking for a job in a few months. Could she use you as a reference?

Urban Outings is a single organization for gay men.
I do theater events for them and for Social Circles.
You could say, I am the hostess with the mostest.
I have put my events on hold as I have two other very busy full time jobs.
Life is a cabaret darling.

And I want to save the greatest Cabaret dancers on earth.
I might not have money, but I have passion.

I've personally spent $700+ dollars and have seen the show and brought many a friend and family...that was probably for about 11 tickets.

I spent about $300 dollars when I went on three seats... they were great seats though. First row of the balcony, in the center. If I wanted to, I could have spit on Gary Beach's head.

I paid full price for great orchestra seats. I saw it with Daniel Davis and would pay full price again to see his amazing performance. I wouldn't see this cast now even if comped.
