Best Musical: WICKED
*AVENUE Q should win, but Tony voters will chose WICKED because it is more of traditional musical theatre. Hey MILLE beat URINETOWN for the same reason.
Best Play: I AM MY OWN WIFE
*I will be very upset if this doesnt win
Best Musical Revival: Hmmmmmm WOnderful Town will probably win
*ASSASSINS should win. It is the best piece of theatre that has opened on broadway for a long time. The producers took a big chance bringing this to broadway considering the critical reaction to this musical in the past. It is a very important musical that people need to see so maybe if they win they will expend the run longer like they did for NINE.
Best Play Revival: Henry IV
Best Actor(musical): Hugh Jackman
*No contest. Although I am sooooo glad that Euan Morton got nominated.
Best Actress(mucial): I DONT KNOW WHO WILL WIN!!!!!! What a great list of women. They all deserve it. Stephanie D'Abruzzo wont win so count her out. Critics didnt like Idina Menzel but she may still win. I predict that Donna Murphy will win. I think i would like Kristin Chenoweth to win.
Best Actor(play): Jefferson Mays should and better win.
*Although if Kevin Kline wins I wouldnt be too pissed off.
Best Actress(play): Phylicia Rashad
Best Featured Actor(musical): Another tough call cause everyone in this category deserves it but i say that Micheal Cerveris gets it
*I think Raul Esparza should win becuause he was phenominal in this show, when he sang Petifried i cried, and I would like to see TABOO win something and I think this is the only category it even has a chance for.
Best Featured Actress(musical): Dont really care. One of the ASSASSINS girls and Ann Harada from AVENQUE Q should have been
nominated.
Best Director(musical): Joe Mantello BETTER WIN!!!!!!!!!!! He is the best director out there and what he did with this production was wonderful!!!!!!!!!
Best Choreograpy: This category is wierd cause Kathleen Marshal probably will win. But Jerry Mitchell has never won a Tony and, if it where not for MOVIN OUT, he should have won last season. ALso, his choreography was good in this bad show so i think he should win.
Best Book of a Musical: I think Jeff Whitty of AVENUE Q will and should win. Although if TOny Kushner wins I wouldnt mind at all.
Best Score: This is another wierd category because Stephen Schwartz is a musical theatre legend and has never won a Tony. That is just wrong. But he should not win this year. It just wasnt the best score of the year and I think it will be wrong if he wins. I wouldnt mind if AVENUE Q's score wins cause it was a great score and thier composers seems really cool which would be fun to hear thier speech. But even though it wont happen I REALLY want Boy George to win!!!!!! He did what many critics predicted thought he couldn't do: write a good broadway score. Taboo had the best score of the year. It has some of the most beautiful ballads I have heard in a longe time. He wont win but i wish he would!!!
What do u all think?

Musical Revival -- Assassins is the favorite and will very probably win.
Play Revival -- Henry IV deserves it, but don't be surprised if "Raisin In the Sun" (which is mostly first rate) takes it in a close vote
Musical Actress -- looking like Pinkins right now, but who knows?
Featured Actor Musical -- the favorite is ooking like Esparza .... he's gonna grab a few extra votes because of his stellar work on "The Normal Heart" (it's not fair, but that's how the Tonys work every year)
Featured Actress Musical -- Anika Noni Rose or Isabel Keating
Director Musical -- Mantello -- but will it be for Wicked or Assassins?
Choreography -- Jerry Mitchell really deserves it, but Kathleen Marshall will probably win
Score -- a total toss up, though, somehow I'm guessing that the winner won't be Schwartz (Tesori, maybe??)

Was his direction award-worthy for WICKED? NO
Was it nomination worthy? Yes
His direction was certainly better than Kathleen Marshall who was nominated for directing Wonderful Town.
