What a shame...

Posted: 8/13/06 at 7:16pm

My game seems to have been deleted. I can't think why?

Spoilsports...

Maybe they couldn't think of anything funny or crude enough and so deemed to delete my post.

It was ALL in perfect taste!

===

To keep this on topic - I love Idina, I especially love the video she did for her single Minuet where she's in the back of a bus making out with Taye.

That's hot.

What's the hottest scene you guys have seen from a Broadway star? I'm hoping for some Carol Channing stories guys!

I would also like to ask, what did BWW authorities deem "unsuitable" in my previous post?

Because it was quite rudely axed without a word of warning, without a quick message saying "sorry, you're a bad man, we're taking it down".

I'm hurt and offended. I thought we were a community BWW. I thought we were pals. *sad face*

I'm grieving...I'm in mourning for my thread.

The group hug idea is nice.

games are "illegal"

they used to have too many on the Off Topic board

then they made a rule it had to be website-sanctioned, then they just died

Someone did tell you that it would probably be deleted.

Well, really! It wasn't so much a "game" it was more a "humourous ideas" post. Kind of like the "What's the WORST LYRIC EVER!" post that's garnered tens of millions of replies. It was creative too, I was nurturing young minds. Isn't B'Way all about art, about theatre? Why are we stifling creativity in our ranks!? WHYYYYY!?

Pab - yes, someone said it would probably be deleted and gave no reason as to why. I would like a four-page essay on the subject on my desk by Monday morning or there'll be hell to pay!

O, nom. It was such a fun little game. So quaint, so beautiful. Perfect in its way. You would have loved it so very very much.

And besides, makings something else up isn't really the point.

Think of this, it is one thread that got away, but if you chase after it, like your doing, then all the other threads will get lose. In other words, it's over, let it go.

Eactly what I was thinking.

The thread that got away.

It has happened to the best of us, if that helps you feel less alone.

Let it go.

And just PM Rob to vent if you're really ticked off.

Perhaps it was deleted because it was crude and vulgar and served no purpose other than being crude and vulgar? I think the reason you likely didn't get an explanation is that it was fairly obvious.

Personally, I wasn't offended it by it but I agree with the PTB that it was inappropriate. There are a lot of children that frequent this site.

I'm not chasing it. I know it will never rise again. I am coming to terms with the loss of it, and attempting to let go. But it is such a pain to my side - I feel as if I've lost a child.

Maybe this will help to get this thread deleted as well (one can only hope). The thread that camp_actor is crying about was a "game" where you took the name of Broadway Show and gave it a Porn Movie name. That's it.

Well I would hope that children would show sense and not click on a link that bears a very obvious title as to what it was!

I'm hurt that you said it was crude and vulgar. It was kind of beautiful - like modern art or Donna Summer.

Oh, that's not a game.

That's porn.

Yeah, that's an auto-delete to sell Disney ads.

Or some such.

PAB! I'm appalled at you! You want to kill my now sibling-less thread here!? How do you have the gall. It is you who have dragged this off topic. I remember back in the day this thread was about how hot Idina is in the Minuet video.

Anything involving porn will end up deleted, unfortunatly. I wish I found that thread, though it would have been fun.

^now THAT's pornographic.

Yes, yes too many children on the site...all are welcome. All will not know the difference between "your" and "you're"...

This should just become a general venting thread. I feel your loss.
