BobbyBubby: Some of us can't get to NYC, and cast recordings and videos are all that we have.
What annoys me about SOME cast recordings is that I just compulsively buy them.
I think its some sort of disease.

I hate how on the Spring Awakening cast recording "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind" and "The Guilty Ones" are out of order...

the whole Spring Awakening recording is outdated anyway, the lyrics are off (even between booklet and cd) the adult parts in the pictures are from off-bway. The orchestrations are also outdated on some songs, it's annoying
"What annoys me is posers who think that Cast Recordings replace the actual show.
I'm sick of all the poeple on here wanting Videos and Cast Recordings without having to pay for the live show. I thin Cast Recordings should highlight the score."
If you live somewhere that's several thousand miles away from New York, cast recordings are usually the easiest way to experience a new show. If something goes on tour, then the live show is fine. But a lot of the time, it's just easier to buy the cast recording and wait to see the show somewhere down the line. Plus cast recordings cost a lot less money than flying to New York every time a new show opens you want to see...

i hate it when they cut or shorten songs
but usualy all the cast recordings
sound great but i wish they just record the
whole show.
