re: What happened at the wicked stage door...?

I told my sister this story and she brought up an interesting point:

Why did this weirdo choose to go after Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, out of all of the other interracial couples in the spotlight? Well, first of all, they are both incredibly talented people, but it's hard to deny that they aren't a huge Hollywood couple. It's just interesting that he picks a couple that isn't widely known. I mean, come on. Not many people outside of Broadway are familiar with Idina Menzel. I'm not bashing her! Because I love her! But she's not a superstar.

Sounds like it was from an inbred three-nipple cousin-f*cker. Also known as the KKK. I'm sure whoever it is who sent it is singing, "This is my Jerry Springer moment..."

re: What happened at the wicked stage door...?

Reporters and news crews set up cameras outside the stage door, and were asking everyone as they came out about tightened security, what they thought, etc. Joey Mcintyre and Michelle Federer signed autographs, then walked by the reporters and said "No comment." JLT and Idina did not come out the door, and George Hearn just walked by everyone and got into a car and left without saying anything.

thats so sick. I hate people like that. I hope that guy gets shot by an angry Idina fan (may possibly be me).

re: What happened at the wicked stage door...?

Hey now!Let's not get anybody shot here-put the guy away & make him listen to all Idina's very ENTHUSIASTIC fans explain why she's so GREAT,the show so INCREDIBLE,and so on for the rest of his life.

Also, they get to throw things at him.

This whole story makes me sick to my stomach.

No one deserves to be treated like that.

re: What happened at the wicked stage door...?

This whole thing is gross but I dont think that this was sent by someone who was white for the simple reason that they call taye a "sell out" for marrying a white woman. Regrdless though this whole thing is discuting and awfull. I cant belive that this Kind of crap is still happening in the USA

re: What happened at the wicked stage door...?

a situation like this is just sad. no one should have to rearrange the way they live out of fear that some psycho path will attack them. idina and taye are two people with incredible talents who happen to have fallen in love with each other. it's sad that people in the U.S. are still looking at race as a reason to create danger and drama.

But it seems like the majority of all the post are like "omg poor Idina" and yeah I feel bad for her too but she's not the one that some weirdo threatened to castrate. Maybe I didn't hear the whole story but I feel slightly worse for Taye.
What is it about Lucy?? I know she's a bitch, and yet I want to be her...

That's very true gravity... but I also sort of think that the person sending the letter is somewhat involved in the theater community. Not involved as in they work in it, but that they attend shows. I mean Idina Menzel... seriously, not that many people have heard of her. Wouldn't that just be freaky if she has signed an autograph for this person before, or talked to them at the stage door... ugh... People are annoying.

So, just a thought, why didn't he send those types of letters to people in HAIRSPRAY?

Ohh the whole things made me barf a little. I hope that mouth breather gets what he deserves

It may be me too. I got so mad. Well, I was hoping the guy would get shot, but I like this idea too:

"Hey now!Let's not get anybody shot here-put the guy away & make him listen to all Idina's very ENTHUSIASTIC fans explain why she's so GREAT,the show so INCREDIBLE,and so on for the rest of his life.

I'd so love to give my "Why Idina is Great" speech to him.

Honestly, if Idina or Taye get hurt (Please don't castrate him. I was waiting to see the little gorgeous singing babies they'd have)I'd cry for a long time. She is my idol, and he is jsut great.

"Despite the threats, Menzel still performed on Sunday, arriving at the Gershwin Theater under heavy guard. For the matinee, she was accompanied by five plainclothes guards, who remained stationed outside the stage door."

Do they have to pay for these guards for their personal protection or is the theatre providing them?
