I was reading the article that came out in Playbill talking about hot David Lindsay-Abaire was penning the book for SHREK - The Musical and that Jason Moore was set to direct.
It also talks about Sam Mendes' production company producing the venture and the possibility of Jeanine Tesori writing the score. It mentions developmental readings that were set for 2005.
Did these readings happen? Is the project scrapped?

Posted: 5/16/06 at 11:17pmIt's still happening. I talked to Lindsay-Abaire a month or two ago and he said he was hard at work on the book. I don't think it's scheduled to workshop, though, till later this year or next year.
