What is Bobby's profession in COMPANY?

Does the script ever say? I remember reading that the Signature Theatre, I think, in VA did a production in which it was clear that Robert was a Photographer ("all those photos up on the wall"), though I personally don't see that. He's not an "artistic" personality, and few Photographers have the income to live in a Manhattan high rise.

I always assumed he was a financial analyst or something dull.

Any thoughts or insights?

I remember watching a video of the crazy Domnar version and I think they say. I can't remember. He seems to just do a lot of coke and women in that version.

the call boy explanation would explain the lyric "Bobby baby BOOBY/BOOBIE"...that was Bobby's nickname at the hustler bars, due to his great pecs (particularly when played by Barrowman...EVERYTHING protrudes a ways on that boy's front side...)
