What is Zombie Prom??????

A city near me is has a summer youth Musical each year and this year they are doin Zombie Prom. I've never really heard of this, but I bet it's a rock musical. What's it about? What are parts for guys?????? Fill me in......

I love the cast recording...never got to see it, it was off Broadway, right?

I saw a high school do a low budget version, and it was AWESOME. Really funny script, and really catchy music. It can be a pretty big cast, depending on how many "ensemble" type characters the director chooses to have. I would say definitely go try out. It's GREAT! And I'm guessing that if it's a summer musical program, you would have more funds than the school that did (we're talking under $500), and that could only make it better as far as makeup, costumes, set and the number of musicians you have (they had only a piano). It's a good one, for sure.

love, love, LOVE Zombie Prom! It's another "let's-make-fun-of-the-50's" in the vein of Grease, but it's so much fun! The big male parts are Jon (without an H!) who's girlfriends tears brought him back from the dead. Think of the movie "My Boyfriend's Back" (am I the only one who's seen this?) and the other big male part is Eddie Flagrante, the slightly sleezey news reporter who helps Jonny.
