Yes they are overdone, but they are essential to the musical theatre world and it is just fun to pop it into your car and sing along. I didn't really like it until I was in it and then I couldn't get it out of my head. Love R&H, especially Oklahoma!, Sound of Music, and Flower Drum Song.

R&H just isn't my thing, that's all. And, there are some songs of theirs I like--"You'll Never Walk Alone," "Some Enchanted Evening," "Love Look Away," all of "Sound of Music"...I'm just not a huge fan.

And that is fine, Rose. I don't really like Sondheim (BLASPHEMY), even though I do like a few shows from him. Everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours.

OK, don't get me wrong. I love The Ladies Who Lunch from Company, but after, like, 1000 verses that all sound the same....in the voice....it gets EXTREMELY annoying!

ANYTHING from Annie (god i hate that show...)
Most of the Birdie songs (we love you conrad.. KILL ME NOW)
Ioway from State Fair (that song was in my head for like a whole year after i did that show)
Fred (i think that's what it's called) from Once Upon a Mattress
Most songs from Oklahoma

Tango Maureen. I hadn't listened to it in maybe 5 years so I just played it to see if I still hated it as much and now I hate it even more.

There are some really bad ones out there. I really hate "Real Nice Clambake". you don't know the pain until you have to perform that number with the biggest smile on your face. I wanted to tear my hair + ribbons out.

omg it is terrible...and its gets like 4 reprises...and u hear the music start again and you just want to scream and run away.

Seasons Of Love - Rent
I know that most people LOVE that song, but if I hear it one more time I'm going to shoot myself. I liked it maybe the first 1000 times I heard.
